Looking for a daycare in Harleysville / Hatfield / Lansdale Area – Any recommendations?
Our son Evan is 19 months old and we are currently exploring available daycare programs for him. His grandparents have been watching him up to this point and we would like to enroll him in a daycare program so that he can interact with more kids his age. He is commando crawling and says many words. Is anyone aware of a good daycare center in the Harleysville/Hatfield/Lansdale area for kids with DS? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

The Indian Valley YMCA has a day care program.
Our daughter has been going to the KinderCare on Sumneytown Pike in North Wales (near Merck) for many years. She now is in elementary school so she only goes on off days. So, they do have experience with DS. My only advice is that in any given daycare the staff changes fairly frequently, so while a center may have some experience today, tomorrow, it may be different due to staff coming and going.

My daughter Sofia also attended Kindercare on Sumneytown Pike. She is also in elementary school and will be attending the daycare for summer camp. While they do have experience with DS, I would also recommend asking a lot of questions and getting to know the staff.
